Description:
Information Security Technical Specialist - As the senior technical expert in the Information Security team, and reporting directly to the Associate Director, the Specialist requires a detailed understanding of the risks to the security of college data and mechanisms to remove vulnerabilities and prevent their exploitation. Experienced with network engineering and information security best practice, the incumbent will perform security gap analyses, repair or strengthen systems to address potential vulnerabilities, and will federate the security efforts of the Network Services, Enterprise Systems, and User Services teams. As first responder to medium- and high-level security incidents, the Specialist will work with the Associate Director for Information Security to implement the appropriate response. Depending on the severity level, they will administer and provide forensics, root cause analysis, and a post-event analysis
