Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for designing and implementing data projects involving data transformations, data warehousing, and general business intelligence. Career-Level position within field. Requires experience and proficiency in discipline. Conduct complex work important to the organization. Contributes to measureable team and/or organizational objectives. Minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment. Provides solutions to issues utilizing judgment. Highly-skilled and proficient. Works on complex projects

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures conformance to work standards and that the technical design conforms to functional requirements
Applies analysis concepts, techniques, tools and standards and a solid understanding of project life cycles and methodologies and advanced knowledge of data integration design to support assigned projects
Researches new function and/or process enhancements to existing tools
Verifies and edits test data in new or existing systems
Participates in continuous process refinement and improvement
Leads the identification and implementation of data integration projects and enhancements to systems
Addresses end-user requirements regarding data transparency, accuracy, and usability
Provides consultation and technical expertise regarding database management systems (DBMS), database management tools, and access methods
Designs, develops, and maintains relational databases for data storage and data mining
Performs data warehouse design and testing, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation
Develop processes and procedures for entering information into data warehousing systems and for ensuring reliability of information entered
Analyzes and translates business requirements into a form that can easily be understood by all audiences such as IT, various departments, and management
Seeks continuous improvement in performance of data warehouse and ensure security of data
Communicates with all levels of management and staff and is a resource regarding the functioning of existing automated systems, departmental operations and interdependencies
Collaborates with teams to ensure the completion of work, timeliness of deliverables and quality control
Trains company employees and customers on systems usage
Provides technical assistance to team members, applications personnel and staff
Maintains and enhances technology expertise, keeping current with evolving database and business intelligence technology
Advises development staff and users on data-based solutions to business problems and data architectures
Develops and manages project plans, schedules and progress
Prepares detailed project status reports as well as data quality and other system documentation
Collaborates with data analysts and modelers, data administrators, application developers, technical support organizations, computing architects, procurement and supplier management, and product vendors
