Description:
Grinnell College is currently seeking a motivated, well-organized individual to be part of our Dining Services team. The Marketplace Supervisor is 40 hours/week, 10-months with summer work possible and located in our state of the art dining facility. The position has a varied schedule, including days, evenings and alternate weekends. Responsibilities: Assist in the directing of the operations of the Marketplace to ensure high quality service. Assumes the responsibilities of the Marketplace in the absence of the Assistant/Associate Director. Responsible for scheduling all student staff in the Marketplace (including the dishroom) and for special events using the whentowork.com software. Assist in the training and supervision of student staff in the Marketplace and the dishroom, assuring that the Federal, State, and College standards are met. Responsible for monitoring and making sure the supplies are properly stocked, areas are properly cleaned and that laundry is stored. Responsible for student payroll. Must be able to effectively communicate verbally, and in written form with student staff and others. Must communicate staffing and operational changes, discrepancies, equipment and personnel issues.
