Description:
Varied Hours (7pm - 7am, 7am - 7pm)
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate & provide direct patient care in the emergency care setting as directed by medical staff following policies & procedures of GRMC. Triage accurately, safely, & rapidly every patient that enters the emergency care system. Determine priorities of care based on physical & psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicate with Emergency Department physicians about changes in patient's status, symptomatology, & results of diagnostic studies. Qualifications: Must hold current & valid state of Iowa Registered Nursing licensure. ACLS Certification or completion of certification within the first 6 months of employment; TNCC & PALS current or completion within first year of employment. One year in emergency or critical care is preferred.
