Description: Assistant Director, Associate Director, or Director of Major Gifts - The primary purpose of this position is to cultivate, solicit, and steward prospective donors with major and deferred gift potential ($25,000 and more), with specific attention on gifts and commitments of $100,000 and more. The individual in this position will focus effort on cultivating interest in College programs and initiatives that include capital projects, student scholarships, faculty chairs and professorships, the endowment, campus programs, planned gifts, as well as the annual fund. Working closely with the alumni and donor relations and annual giving teams, this position will leverage all of the engagement resources at their disposal to maximize the connection of alumni and friends with Grinnell College. Significant overnight travel is required as well as the ability to work evenings and weekends. This position is a multi-year term addition to assist with the College’s comprehensive campaign that will close on June 30, 2021.
