Description:
A small but prolific design & printing company seeks a creative Lead Graphic Designer
with experience in designing, printing and finishing. We’re looking for someone who can
take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images,
layouts and other designs. The successful candidate should have an understanding or
be able to quickly pick up how mailing and marketing campaigns work to support our
clients.
We work in a fast paced environment, so the ideal candidate will be able to hit the
ground running as soon as we bring on a new client or project. Applicants with
experience leading creative teams and designing with other professionals will be given
prime consideration.
This person will assist with walk-in clients, answering phones and inventory
management and is responsible for maintaining a neat and organized work area. A high
attention to detail, as well as excellent and outgoing communication skills are required.

â— Create eye-catching graphics and engaging designs
â— Handle design projects from proofing to print production and finishing
â— Work with clients & customer service on design projects
â— Be able to take vague verbal or written instructions and create high quality
designs.
â— Help with miscellaneous production tasks in any other necessary capacity
â— Technical and creative skills in all aspects of graphic design including
concepts.
â— Ability to work independently and function effectively as a member of a team
â— Excellent time management and organization skills, handling multiple
simultaneous projects with stringent deadlines.
Qualifications:

â— Must be comfortable communicating with clients
â— Must have the ability to understand and communicate design concepts
â— Previous experience in print / graphic design industry is required
â— Familiarity with fundamentals of print design
â— Designing for bleed
â— Color spaces, etc...
â— Knowledge of design & photo-editing
â— Must understand how to design in PMS and CMYK color
â— Must be able to render color separations
â— Must be able to design using both Raster and Vector elements.
â— Possess professional graphic design portfolio
â— Understand industry standards
â— Deadline and detail-oriented
â— Must be proficient in the use of design programs (i.e. Adobe Creative Cloud
programs: InDesign CC, Illustrator CC, Photoshop CC, Acrobat Pro, etc) and
be able to learn and use new software and technology.
â— Working knowledge of Office 365 programs (Word, Powerpoint, Excel,
Outlook, etc) is preferred
â— Experience with design, production and file formats on a Macintosh
computer is required.
â— Must have sound organizational, written, verbal, and time management skills

â— Provides customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics and can
recommend appropriate Total Choice products and services
â— Provides an outstanding customer service experience by using consultative
skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions
to meet customer needs
â— Ensures all customer problems are resolved quickly and to the satisfaction of
the customer
â— Sets up and operates printing, binding and other related equipment using
customer supplied original media and documents
Job Duties:
â— Work simultaneously on multiple projects based on current client workload
â— Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials
â— Prepare finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and finishing
equipment: cutter, creaser, folder, padder, booklet maker, inserter
Qualifications:
Required experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or in a related field combined with additional
experience.
Production / Printing: Experience in a printing environment is a plus.
Graphic Design: 5 years professional design & print experience
Proven success in graphic design required
