We have dozens of ready-mix and asphalt production facilities around the state of Iowa. Our massive fleet of dump and ready-mix trucks serves thousands of job sites every year. In addition, our concrete and asphalt paving divisions, along with our various other crews, complete hundreds of projects every season.
Software Engineer: We have an immediate opening in our Brooklyn Office for a Software Engineer. The candidate will come into the company as a servant leader responsible for adhering to best practices in software architecture, guiding junior team members on a self-directed team, and the overall quality of the solution. This position will focus primarily as a developer for the Business Intelligence area and as a resource supporting the company-wide needs and business objectives of Manatt's Inc. This person will work to integrate multiple systems and optimize business processes through automation. Key Job Responsibilities: • Get their hands dirty in Agile development practices and an interest in learning test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration and pair programming • Cranking out mobile applications and desktop solutions in Agile environments • Facilitates communication between technical team members, business, and other stakeholders • Identifies and unblocks technical risks and builds security in by design • Design and develop complex reports using SSRS, SQL, .Net • Integrate home grown and vendor applications • Test and install new vendor releases
Desired Technical Skills: • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science/MIS or related discipline • 2 – 5 years full stack application development experience in a mid-sized environment • An advanced understanding of object-oriented design and development principles including SOLID • Super solid skills in multiple object-oriented and/or front-end languages (Java, C#, .NET, Ruby, Angular, JavaScript, Ember, etc.) and a drive to hone their craft and develop new skills • Experience with .MS SQL Server 2012 and later releases SSRS, .Net • Experience with other technologies such as Perl, Java, SSIS, and MQ or other messaging technologies a plus • Experience working in the construction and/or financial domain preferred, specifically asset management, AP/AR, and integration with ERP solutions • Should be an individual contributor with below skills:
o SSAS – Multidimensional or Tabular modelling using SQL Server Data Tools
o SSRS – Strong in Report development
o SSIS - Good Knowledge in SSIS and ETL concepts
o Database Skills – Very strong SQL or PL\SQL
o Dashboard / BI development
