We have openings on 2nd and 3rd shifts for Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technicians starting at $24.17 - $25.74/hr. to perform electrical/mechanical tasks at our Grinnell, IA locations. We are needing to fill multiple maintenance positions, on the off shifts with a staff of hard working, flexible, team-oriented associates.
Primary duties include:
Utilizing working knowledge and experience in the areas of motors/wiring configurations, PLC s, computers, electrical schematics, control circuits, electrical distribution systems, electronics, automation, and preventive maintenance.
· Applying mechanical expertise, to include, but not limited to precision alignment, rigging, tensioning fasteners & belts, lubrication, lacing & tracking of screw systems, mechanical drawings, and preventive maintenance.
· Assisting in formulating standards/work procedures while performing those duties and provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
· Completing assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to repairs and preventive maintenance on conveyor systems, power transmissions, and other power-driven rotating equipment. Repairs and preventive maintenance to be performed in conformance with established standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
· High school degree or an approved GED. Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent, preferred, but not required.
· Five years’ experience in industrial electrical/mechanical maintenance is preferred.
· Ability to operate and have knowledge of simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, and boom lifts.
· Working knowledge of the following: proper use of hand/power tools, shop math, pneumatics, power transmissions, parts nomenclature, measurements, and fasteners.
· Working knowledge of robotics is preferred, but not required.
